Birthplace – Toledo, Ohio

George E.  was the first born son of Peter and Louise (Schneider)Trost. His father was a carpenter and letter carrier. His mother stayed at home. . In 1900, George moves in with his grandfather, aunts and uncles at the home on Bush Street.George attended elementary school and high school in Toledo.

In the years 1901 to 1902 it is believed that  George had left Toledo to be with his uncle Henry in Tucson, Arizona but no record of this can be located.  George began work as a draftsman at the firm of Trost and Trost in El Paso.  In his career at the firm George served as architect, financial advisor and later part owner. It is believe that George had no formal education to be an architect and learn the trade from his uncles. He lived a the family house on Yandell Boulevard. He never married.

George change his career in 1944 to finance. He became the president of the El Paso Federal Saving and Loan Bank. In 1952 he became the Chairman of the Board the bank.

George died on April 10, 1968. He is buried in Evergreen
