In 1935, a $35,000 building for the Clint Independent School District will be completed for the opening of the regular term next September 1936. The district’s high school and grammar school building was destroyed by fire recently May 1935. Construction on the new building is expected on June 1. Trost & Trost were selected as architects.

In November 1935, three bids for the construction of the $60,000 Clint School were sent to the PWA. J.E. Morgan, R.E. McKee and George Beaudett bid on the constuction job.

Work began on the school in March of 1936. Insurance and the PWA Funds were used for the structure.
