Remarks: An oil painting of a desert landscape by Eugene Thurston is owned by Trost Family.  They informed the authors in an interview, August, 1991, that the painting had been given to Gustavus by Thurston, in exchange for the design of a remodeling of Thurston’s house. The nature of the remodeling has not been determined by the authors.
